     Mary A. Spaulding Meyer, 91, of Independence Village in Peoria, formerly of Dwight, passed away at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday, June 2, 2012, at Heritage Health in Chillicothe.
     Graveside services and interment will be at 11 a.m. on Thursday, June 7, 2012, at Hudson Cemetery in Hudson. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, June 6, 2012, at Clary Funeral Home, 3004 West Lake Avenue, in Peoria.
     Mary was born in Towanda on October 13, 1920, a daughter of William Dudley and Anna Eliza (Ball) Miller. She married John Spaulding in 1940. Later, she married Charles Meyer in Dwight on August 13, 1978, before moving to Bryan, OH. They both preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by three infant children; sisters, Elizabeth Speciale, Jennie Arbuckle and Eugenia Gardner; and brothers, William, Robert and Percy Miller.
     She is survived by her children, John Richard (Diana) Spaulding of Bakersfield, CA, Darrel Gene Spaulding of Abbeville, LA, Dolores “Dee” (William) Wahl of Peoria and Gary (Danna) Spaulding of Tuscaloosa, AL; step-daughter, Linda (Bill) Loveless of Pioneer, OH; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
     Mary was employed for several years at Owens-Illinois Glass in Streator.
     After retiring to Florida, she was an active member at Avon Park Lakes Baptist Church and after moving to Peoria, she attended El Vista Baptist Church.
     Mary loved to crochet, quilt and play cards. She was a great cook and everyone looked forward to her cream pies.
     Memorial contributions may be made in Mary’s memory to Heritage Health in Chillicothe or Independence Village in Peoria.
